Archery

  • Lone Oak Archery began in 2019. In the few years since its inception, our shooters have seen lots of improvement. Students in 7th-9th grades actively shoot in a class setting and have enjoyed Friday practices this year in preparation for tournaments.

    The students are excited about competing in the state tournament again this year in Belton, Texas! Students from Lone Oak have competed in the state tournament every year, aside from 2021. Due to COVID-19, the team competed in the National Virtual Tournament last year. Attending the state tournament is a fun day for all involved. It costs $25 per archer to attend the tournament.  Each year, students raise money through various fundraisers in order to cover admission fees and purchase the necessary equipment needed to compete. 

  • August 2022 begins our 5th year to have an archery program at Lone Oak ISD. Every year LOISD has had the privilege to take both a middle school and high school team to Belton to compete in the National Archery in Schools Program State Tournament. It is our team goal to earn a spot on the roster at the State Tournament each year! Archery teaches teamwork, sportsmanship, focus, and self-discipline to our students. Our team relies on the generous donations from our sponsors. Your sponsorship supports our archers and helps to build character and responsibility. We use your sponsorship dollars to pay entry fees, buy team jerseys and to cover our expenses that we incur each year. Sponsorships are a one-time donation for the year. We have several different sponsorship levels available.

    Logos should be emailed to ksmith@loisd.net by October 28th. This will help ensure that the jerseys arrive in time for our first competition. Please make checks payable to Lone Oak ISD, memo line: Archery Sponsorship and send them by mail or drop them in the front office of Lone Oak Middle School by October 28th, or hand to the archer.
